Throughout this season anytime you can say it, say it. It’s not offensive–in any way shape or form. If the recipient does not believe in Christmas; they should understand it’s an expression of Joy, Peace on Earth, and Good Will towards men. That should be the message of Christmas. As it always has been, until recently where it seems to be grossly commercialized and watered down. Go forth and say it. Politely with pride throughout the season, often. Because unfortunately this culture war is no longer a Tea Party Talking point that does not actually exist. As we have all been repeatedly told by everyone “smarter” than us. This battle does exist, and it’s not just culturally. It’s not just young college kids wanting to change a narrative or an economic structure through attacking Christianity. It’s middle aged high profile government officials all across the world creating this. There is an actual cultural, and legislative War on Christmas, and Christianity. Do not let anyone tell you otherwise. But, most importantly don’t get angry, or stupid about it. Because there are more people that believe in the core of what the holiday is all about then the headlines lead us to believe.
From the Waukesha Christmas Parade Massacre, to the European Union internally discussing whether or not to release directives discouraging the language such as “Happy or Merry Christmas,” to most recently a deranged, and most likely homeless man in NYC lighting the Fox News Christmas tree on fire. There is undoubtedly unless you prefer to live in a fantasy land with your head in the sand (See Stephen Colbert) a top down directive from elected officials, and unelected international bureaucrats trying to discourage the core Christian elements of Christmas. The belief and faith in something larger than all of us, should never be discouraged, it’s a pillar of strength in keeping our culture civilized.
From the most strict Southern Baptist to the casual Northeast Catholic; it is of no matter. If you have a manger under a tree rather than a Nightmare Before Christmas display you’re not welcome to the party. If you see “It’s A Wonderful Life” as a moral and ethical road map for your family and friends, rather than an archaic out of touch movie from a time that was problematic, they do not want you around. It is not because they see a better future without religion. They do not care whether atheism, or religion is right. One is just more amiable for the future of “progress”. They see religion, and the independence it internally fuels in a man or a woman from say the Government as a threat against compliance and reliance. For the future to become a universal integrated borderless society, a “Utopia.” The idea of faith, family, and owning your own land, and preferably passing it down to your kids, not a charity–is the opposite of how the future is created in their mind’s eye.
These unconnected events are not so unconnected when the culture is being softly-legislated through language, and directives from bureaucrats and government officials. If the Fox News Christmas tree was burned to the ground even say twenty years ago, just weeks after a disgusting human with a brutal criminal record rammed through a Christmas parade hurting women, old people, and children; our leaders would have stood up and assured us what the Christmas spirit is truly about, and that these thugs against love and peace would not prevail.
But that’s not what’s happening. What is happening is our cultural icons such as Stephen Colbert are mocking these events, and our allies in Europe are debating whether or not to police language such as “Merry/Happy Christmas.” Not to mention the man who lit up the Christmas tree in NYC is already released on bail. Very much the same way Darrel Brooks the man, not the car; who rammed through the Christmas parade in Wisconsin was also released on a soft bail prior to his evil actions against the parade.
What our leaders both culturally and legislatively have failed to mention in the grossly misguided popularity of #defundthepolice was that it also included an indefensible concept such as “Bail Reform,'' that restricts judges from setting high bails in order to keep dangerous criminals off the streets. Darrel Brooks, the man who drove his car into humans marching in a Christmas parade should have still been in jail. Craig Tamanaha, the man who lit up the tree that could have killed people, that burned down the symbol of Christmas during our Christmas season, should still be in jail.
Our community should believe in the good will towards men, but also the will to fight for peace on earth for all of us.
Merry Christmas everybody. AMERICAN // MANIAC
