There’s an ever growing trend among conservatives and right leaning critical thinkers. The simple mindset of “Facts Over Feelings.” Or as popularized by Ben Shapiro “Facts don’t care about your feelings. And, when it comes to clear cut policies and politics from War to Economics I couldn’t agree more. But, I do feel as though there’s something deeper and more important at play. I feel it, and I would like to think all of you feel it. That’s not to say I don’t wholeheartedly agree about needing the facts before entering the political arena; but I also know in the end that has nothing to do with personal sacrifice, and happiness.
While we as a people continue to nose dive, or even some might say plane crash into this brave new world, that continually finds more and more ways to expedite human connection; I cannot help but notice how deeply lost so many of us are. If this journey is as simple as finding the facts over feelings to win a political argument, if that’s really all it is; then I’m sorry to say we’ve already lost at everything else.
That’s not to say dismiss the facts. In fact most people who espouse this think tank like phrase I tend to agree with, but we need to put that aside. For something deeper is needed. A soulful life full of a personal spiritual awareness (whatever that is for said person, makes no difference) is of absolute paramount need. We must interact with the outside world, and other people, honestly and deeply. Not afraid to express our feelings and opinions—especially all the flawed ones that barely have been introduced to the facts. We must strive to live free, honestly, and actively or these focus grouped facts mean nothing.

All that brings us to a very important crossroads this November. A crossroads that has nothing to do with the facts. It’s a battle to preserve the flawed human experience of expression, love, hate, and creation.
There’s a choice in front of us, Biden or Trump, and I’d like to play a little hypothetical game in efforts to showcase the clear choice for honest humanity.
If the polls and social trends started swaying favorably for humans to sodomize trees, Biden would speak cautiously in favor of the trend. Trump would call everyone crazy assholes for it. Biden would have most certainly had the report about tree sodomy read to him in detail multiple times. Trump would have never opened it. One would have the facts theoretically more on their side. But the other would be living a genuine and honest life, and expressing it so.
